Los Ojitos de Dios is an explicit experimental performance created by Caos (@exploraeldeseo).
On May 14th of this year, the first presentation of this performance was held, and I had the honor of participating as a photographer.
Let me explain: God’s Little Eyes is based on group exploration (3 to 5 people) of the erotic tastes of the participants or “creatures.” The participants do not know each other, and they are orchestrated in a stage space to have a sexual encounter, carrying out only the orders they receive from God, who will be watching from a distance and will communicate with the creatures to indicate actions through headphones.
God knows the desires of each creature, and they become puppets activated to play and operate in a depersonalized and liberating erotic theater.
The idea of witnessing such an intimate scene, of which you are only a part as a spectator, where you only observe the actions but do not know what specific commands lead to these actions, is disturbing. The thrill of witnessing scenes that can excite you, distress you or perhaps even create disgust. An experiment in which you are the test subject, even though I have previously told you that you were not taking part.
God’s Eyes focuses on the fantasies we would like to experience and are afraid to communicate. The fact of receiving orders (like a puppet moved by a puppeteer) makes it possible to explore sexuality without the moral or judgmental barrier that blocks some desires. Added to this is the liberation of meeting anonymously and with strangers. .
Additionally, I also participated as a “creature” in one of the rehearsals that were done for the performance, a couple of days before. The experience was quite curious… I arrived at the space, left my things, and went to shower. They gave me headphones and a mask that I would have to wear at all times. I went into the space and got ready to rest while we did a connectivity test for the audio through which God would not speak.
After the test, we all went to the center, there were three of us girls. We started by closing our eyes, allowing ourselves to relax our bodies and minds, and then activating it, running and jumping around the space. When we stopped, we started with level 1. There would be 3 levels of intensity in total, and before each one, we would have the option to say whether we wanted to continue or decide to stop participating in the activity. We all continued through all three levels. The actions indicated by God were concise, from massaging certain areas of the body, to putting our fingers (with gloves) in another’s mouth, to masturbating in front of each other, forming a kind of circle, following God’s specific instructions to do so, at which point, at least I had a great orgasm.
After that, we meditated lying down and finally took off our masks and sat down to eat fruit and chocolate and give Chaos our feedback.
It turned out to be a rather peculiar experience, really.
The idea of this performance is to continue expanding and evolving, and I think it is an initiative with a message and an extremely powerful execution that is at the same time minimalist and elegant. Where all the participants are integrated, each one with a very specific role that manages to complement the activity.
